An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
